You can locate this information on the label affixed to the bottom of the Waste King food waste disposer.

5. Do I need to register my unit?

Waste King by Anaheim Manufacturing Co. does not require you to register your unit. We do ask that you write down your model and serial number on your owner’s manual and/or bill of sale, sales slip, canceled check or other purchase record kept to verify the original purchase date for warranty purposes.

6. Do all Waste King Legend food waste disposers come with power cords?

Yes, all Waste King food waste disposers come with a power cord attached.

7. What’s the difference between an EZ mount and a 3-Bolt mounting disposal?

There are only two differences in the disposer and neither one has to do with the motor or it’s performance.
The 3-bolt has all stainless mounting components and the EZ mount his plastic and aluminum. Neither one is better than the other. They are both very durable mounting systems.
The EZ mount has a removable splashguard and our 3-bolt has a hush cushion and is not removable.
This is solely a customer’s product preference.

8. What’s the difference between Waste King Gourmet and Waste King Legend?

The only difference between our old Waste King Gourmet and our new Waste King Legend is the color and label. Other then that the units are exactly the same.

9. How do I un-jam my disposer?

If you hear a humming or buzzing noise every time you turn your unit on then your unit is jammed. To un-jam the unit all you need to do is unplug the power cord (or switch of breaker box switch to the “OFF” position), depending on your model and wiring configuration. Remove stopper and/or splashguard. Check to see if turntable will rotate freely using a wooden broom or mop handle. Place the handle down into the disposal and use one of the two impellers to put force on turning the turntable. Keep in mind it is not the impellers that need to be moving freely. You are just using the impellers to put force onto the turntable. If the turntable rotates freely, replace *splashguard and check reset button to see if it has been tripped. Reset button is red and located on the opposite side of the power cord, near the bottom. Push button in until it clicks and remains depressed.
If reset button has not been tripped, check for a shorted or broken wire connecting to the disposer. Check electrical power switch, fuse box, or circuit breaker. If the wiring and electrical components are intact, the unit may have internal problems that require service or replacement.
*Splash guard not used on Top Control/Batch Feed units.

10. Where is the reset button located?

The reset button is located near the bottom on the opposite side of the power cord. It is a red button located just inside an indentation on the disposal. Depending on how you have the disposal installed will determine whether you can see the reset switch or not.

11. If I hardwire my disposer will it VOID my warranty?

No, if you have properly hard wired your unit it will not void your warranty.

12. What sort of items can I put down my disposal?

All food waste can be put down our food waste disposal. Vegetable peels, Fibrous materials (celery, small cornhusks, artichokes, etc. Make sure when you do grind these kinds of materials you run lots of water after the grinding process has been completed.), hard material (bones, fruit pits, etc.).
